Headliner Sports:  The freshly painted epoxy flooring in the Chicago Bulls’ new Hyde Park facility will soon be ready for… wait a minute… What??

No, the Bulls aren’t moving (that we know of!), and this particular floor, painted in the Chicago team’s colors, isn’t even in their practice facility.  It’s actually the amazing new decorative floor coating in Chicago’s Dyett High School Gym.  The school chose to have their basketball court decorated in the iconic red, black and white colors of their favorite professional team. The colorful commercial flooring turned out better than anyone even imagined!

ESPN-HS aired the 4-part series, depicting the transformation of the different schools and the students affected.  The final program on October 4th featured Dyett’s make-over, including the industrial resin flooring installation.

Q.  The term “LEED certification” keeps coming up at work — What’s it all about and how does it apply to “green” epoxy flooring?

A.  LEED stands for Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design.
